The Hunger
Games Movie vs. Book Harrison
Yolland
This movie is very different from the book.
For example in the book she gets the mocking jay pin differently than in the
movie where she gets it at the market where she sells hunted game. Also I found that the movie is a lot less
detailed than the book and that the movie could have been better
explained. I think that the movie in
some ways was a little bit of a let down from the book and I liked things
better the way I pictured them while reading the book than when the movie gave
me a new image.
“Happy Hunger
Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!”
-Effie Trinket This quote was one of the quotes that stuck with me the most. I like it because of the irony of how you barely have any odds in your favor. This quote was used in both the book and the movie and is probably one of the most famous and commonly known ones. Another famous one is “Here’s some advice. Stay alive.”-Haymitch Abernathy and this is good because of the classic sarcasm coming from the rude drunk Haymitch. In conclusion I would recommend reading the book before seeing the movie if seeing the movie at all
