Scene 1.  Katniss is telling Prim she doesn’t need to worry about getting chosen as tribute, her name has only been in there once. The picture on the right is a picture of the square in district 12 where the reaping is held.

Scene 2.  Effie says as she always does, “Ladies first!” she goes in the glass bowl and pulls out a slip of paper. She reads out the name. It’s Primrose Everdeen.

Scene 3.  The blood is drained from Prim’s face as she walks towards he stage. Katniss is unable to move at first, she was stunned that her sister was chosen. “Prim was one slip of paper in thousands!” But when she saw Prim it brung her back to her senses, and she ran after her. 

Scene 4.  Katniss pushed Prim behind her with one sweep of her arm and gasped, “I volunteer as tribute!” On the right side Gale has lifted Prim up to carry her off to her mother, while Prim is screaming hysterically “No, Katniss! No! You can’t go!”

Scene 5.  Effie has chosen a slip of paper for the boys and it reads Peeta Mellark. Katniss recognizes the name. Their only interaction happened years ago after her father had been killed in a mine accident. She was walking past the bakery one day, starving and weak, slumped down against a tree. Soon after the blond boy appears with 2 loaves of burnt bread. He threw a loaf of bread in her direction and returned inside. He reminded Katniss that there was hope.
